Lucy Durneen

Lucy Durneen was born in Cambridgeshire and has worked in museums, libraries and bookshops across Europe before settling in the South West of England, where she now lectures in English Literature and Creative Writing. Her short stories and poetry have appeared in The Manchester Review, Storgy, Litro, Two Thirds North, and Short Fiction amongst other places, while her creative non-fiction has been published in The Letters Page and World Literature Today. Her stories and poems have been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and awarded honourable mentions in Glimmer Train magazine. In 2014 ‘Wild Gestures’ was Highly Commended in the Manchester Fiction Prize. Her first collection of short fiction, What It Isn’t, is to be published in 2016.
