The art project "Myths and Legends: From the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea" invites viewers on a journey through time and space to the realm of myths and legends from two cultures — Swedish and Ukrainian. These legends, born in different corners of Europe, possess their unique charm and distinctiveness, while also sharing common features that unite them into a cosmological symphony. The exhibition calls on visitors to feel the magic and myste- ries radiating from these legends, immersing themselves in a world of tales truths passed down through generations. Each painting is a fragment of a mosaic that comes together to form a single image of the cosmic dance of life.

About the Artist:

Olha Krіuchkovska was born in 1994, Kherson, Ukraine. She is a multidisciplinary artist working with painting, collage and mixed media installations. Her practice explores the traces left by people and the changing relationships between nature, memory and cultural identity. Born in Kherson, Ukraine, and living in Sweden since 2022, she explores how migration, war and collective trauma transform both landscapes and inner states. Using layered materials and tactile surfaces, she creates visual narratives that oscillate between abstraction and landscape, presence and disappearance. Kriuchkovska’s works are in private collections in Sweden, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, Germany and the USA, Canada, Georgia, Turkey, Poland, and she is a member of the Swedish Artists’ Union. She also teaches art in her long-term educational project Ptashka.In addition to her artistic practice, she works as a designer on various cultural projects and provides organizational support for events. She actively promotes Ukrainian culture abroad by initiating projects that engage Ukrainian artists and foster cultural dialogue with Europe.
