Ewa Kubiak

Ewa Kubiak is a visual artist, living and working in Poznan, Poland. She graduated from the University of Arts in Poznan where now she works as an assistant at Painting Studio and is completing her PhD degree.

In her work, she explores the relation between textual and visual messages and through creating visual narrations examines the extends and limits of language and image. She approaches a simple, ordinary phenomenon analytically and thus deform it into new quality. Her work derives from science, but by its own rules which allows her to transfer certain theories into her art practice by twisting their initial purpose or aim.

She has exhibited among others in Center for Contemporary Creation Matadero in Madrid, Kunstquartier Bethanien in Berlin, MUMOK in Vienna, Kordegarda Gallery in Warsaw and Centre of Contemporary Art, Znaki Czasu in Torun.
