Chris Ozzard

Originally writing poetry for performance, experiment and text-art, Chris Ozzard has published selectively and infrequently in magazines, and in limited edition small press collections, Prepositions [Red Sharks, 1986], Untitled [House Press, 1991]; A Meltwater Sonata [Paper Moth Press, 1996] Split Seconds [Torix Editions, 2000]. Hello Dolly [Torix, 2009]. Edited / published magazines Kite (1985/9), Site (1991) and Fire (from 1993…). In 1992 worked at the International Symposium for Electronic Art, Sydney for the French Sound-poet Henri Chopin. Promoter of alternative and experimental film, music and poetry he has organised innumerable events; In 2008/9 devised & directed BLAST HOUSE an avant poetry / film / music cabaret for the Lyric Theatre, Carmarthen. Explorer in sound, experiment, theoretical polemic, eidola and attention. Over the last 21 years he has worked at Oriel Myrddin Gallery, in Carmarthen  His daughter Grace was born in 2005.
