Brian Questa is an Irish-American visual artist, composer, and double bassist. He currently resides in Karlsruhe, Germany. His work explores the connections between sound, performance, and film.He is a founding member of the performance art duo XUPSTAR.COM, along with San Francisco based artist Patrick Monte. In 2014, the duo presented Circular Smells, a twelve-channel public sound installation in Berlin’s Templehoffer Airport and James-Simon Park in Mitte, in collaboration with the Urban Solar Audio Plant.
 
His work has been featured at the Panoply Performance Laboratory in NYC, Sal Luis Miro Quesada Garland in Lima, Peru, the American Microtonal Music Festival, and the Avant Media Festival. He has been an artist-in-residence at the Liebig 12 Gallery in Berlin, with installations at Quiet-Cue and the Aufbau Haus am Mortizplatz. In 2013, he hosted a film-scoring residency at the Bridge Gallery in SoHo.
