Bahar Yurukoglu Turkish-American artist had her solo show on March 10th at artSümer in Istanbul ,Turkey. MAYBE I’D LIKE TO BE LIKE YOU, its title from a line in Chris Kraus’ 1997 novel I Love Dick. Curated by Gökcan Demirkazık.
Her photographs portray a desire to better understand one’s self through our connections with others and nature.
Bahar was one of four Turkish artist that participated in AiR Turkey-Scandinavia Connections 2016 . Some of the pieces she exhibited in her show were made during her residency at Kultivera in November 2016.
