Florent Di Bartolo is a media artist based in Paris. His work ranges from experimentations with code to interactive installations. Florent’s work focus on different aspects of new technologies and their impacts on our ways of seeing and interacting with each others through interfaces.Currently, he is working on gestural interfaces. Using computer vision techniques, he is designing with a critical approach a software that can be used to create animations, visual effects and live action for dance and music shows.
 
He holds a PHD in Digital Art from Paris 8 University and a BA in Fine Art from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts located in Paris. He teaches new media art and graphic programming at the University Paris-Est. He has worked with several new media artists and interdisciplinary research laboratories like the CiTu on collaborative projects like The Art Collider (2008-2010).
